Matt Gilmer, on bass and vocals, is a Berklee College of Music graduate with a degree in music compos

Gary Cook, the drummer and vocalist, has been playing professionally since the age of 14 and guides the band’s musical and production direction. Matt Gilmer, on bass and vocals, is a Berklee College of Music graduate with a degree in music composition. Despite his background, he follows the Bar Chords’ directive to stand in the back and hit the right notes. Carlos Gonzalez, the lead guitarist, draws influences from punk to R&B, actively seeking the perfect guitar tone. Jim Souhan, the lead vocalist and guitarist, pursued sportswriting as a dream vocation but finds fulfillment in playing with the Bar Chords, experiencing the joy of being in a band and performing favorite songs.
